Together with Meeuw Jonge Theatermakers we mentor talented young writers (ages 14-18) from Friesland through a project titled: Jonge Schrijvers (Young Writers)
Twice a year we host a series of lessons where these aspiring writers learn everything they need about the writing craft by experienced teachers. The lessons start of with the basics, and let the participants get familiar with different genres like theatre, prose and poetry.
As an audience member you witness performances based on the writings of the Jonge Schrijvers during Explore the North Festival and the Oerol festival on Terschelling, where the production Het Grote Onbekende (the Great Unknown) let the audience experience with the stories behind portraits.
