Podium Explore is the home of Explore the North. Throughout the year, we collaborate with poets, musicians, and other creators from the North on various projects. These can be seen at festivals and in theaters across the country—and of course, at our own venue.
At Podium Explore, artists bring a smile to your face every Friday with the happiest, most poetic parties and shows. No one leaves without having seen, heard, tasted, or felt something new. Want to share your own word art during open mic nights? Send your fellow player home with trinkets during Kutzooibingo? At Podium Explore, anything is possible!
Dinner in the café
You can also stop by our café before the performances for a bite to eat between 6:00 PM and 8:00 PM. Come and enjoy a meal in our 100% vegetarian café beforehand, or savor some homemade treats at the bar to fuel your evening. Here at Podium explore, our artists conjure smiles on your face in joyful, poetic parties, you’ll listen to mythical stories, see the newest generation of writers and word artists showcase their stuff, and much more. Wanna lay on a yoga mat, listening to stories while daydreaming to a projection on a cathedral ceiling? Want to send your fellow players home with knick-knacks during Kutzooibingo? You can do all of that at Podium Explore! You can even take the stage yourself during various open-mics or come for a snack in our cafe.
Cafe
Our cafe in Podium Explore is open every Friday from Noon to Midnight for delicious lunch, coffee, pastries, and a (vegetarian) dinner menu that changes weekly. From beet burgers to choco-chili, there are always (scrumptious!) surprises to expect from our chefs.
