Every first Wednesday of the month, the café of Podium Explore becomes the living room for everyone who calls themselves a poet, or wants to (and all their friends).
The summery puzzle books full of grains of sand can once again be traded in for notebooks full of fresh, blank pages. Pencils sharpened, beer kegs reconnected. Start autumn off right with some words drifting through the air, in the form of poems and other kinds of performances. An evening to listen, write, drink, and perhaps let a few words fall from your own page.
As with every edition, we’ve once again invited a wonderful collection of poets and wordsmiths. And what a lineup! Jos Laurin Nargy from the Poezieboys, all the way from The Hague; all-round goldfish Femke Zwiep, all the way from Arnhem; and Groningen’s very own city poet Jaimy Hindriks will be stuffing your ears with words.
And all the sound without words will be provided by Sander Koning, who will undoubtedly make a golden combination with every word artist. And of course, anyone who wants to can once again take the word stage during the open mic!
Put on a warm sweater, bring your favourite word, and pull up a chair. The poetic heating is on.
