Who hears the voice of the father who has to celebrate New Year’s Eve alone? Of the man who works as Putin’s security guard? Of the cleaner in an empty office building? Or the call of the dandelion in the park that no one sees, let alone picks?
When you are young, you often feel that you are hardly listened to, if at all. And when you’re old and alone, lonely in a flat, it’s probably not much different. For De Roep van de Paardebloem (The Call of the Dandelion), four young writers wrote theatrical texts about words not heard, voices forgotten, and people no one sees.
