Program

The first programme can be found below. We will announce many more artists and projects.

Djoeke

There’s no escaping this black-haired Frisian. With her distinctive baroque style, Djoeke is a striking presence — yet it’s above all her voice that captivates. Somewhere between romance and madness, Djoeke flutters melodiously through a world of 90s strings and trip-hop elements. She could easily be the younger stepsister of Lana Del Rey and Portishead. But with themes like womanhood and the longing to feel in a world that itself no longer seems to know what’s real, Djoeke proves herself to be a voice of her generation.

Een Gemeen Schaap

Een Gemeen Schaap creates visual theater and theatrical imagery. Comprising Caya Emmelkamp (2000) and Hannes Schievink (2001), the collective produces performances, installations, and sets exploring themes like community, urban and rural life, and meaning-making.

‘Droom Dag’ is a spoken-word performance in which EGS examines the politics and necessity of daydreaming. Isn’t wandering off mentally actually good for us? And who decides when and who is allowed to dream? More importantly, how does one even daydream?

(…) Centraal

(…) Centraal is a multidisciplinary collective that uses music as a starting point to explore human themes such as nostalgia, growing older, and dealing with the rough edges of life. (…) Centraal makes pop music and currently functions both as a live act with new songs and as an artists’ collective. The home base of (…) Centraal is Utrecht, though its roots still lie somewhere in Drenthe.

Ambu Bambu

Ambu Bambu’s music tells emotional stories about the urge to belong somewhere, while at the same time being destined to forever float in between. Urgent and rhythmic, with occasional moments of lightness and release, their DJ set spans a rich palette: from breakbeat and bass to dreamy, distorted sounds and idiosyncratic house and techno tracks that are so strange you briefly question their genre.

Kietsune

Kietsune is a bold, authentic, and creative DJ, producer, and interdisciplinary artist. With a refreshing sound, Kietsune consistently brings something new to the scene. Hailing from Groningen and active in the field for some time, Tonke Gubbels began performing under the alias Kietsune in December 2022. By playing at various venues across the Netherlands, Kietsune quickly made a name in the scene. The sets and productions are often described as deep, dark, dreamy, and melancholic — music you want to listen to on repeat.

Berend Moed

Berend Moed is a 24-year-old from Leeuwarden, who is currently training as a construction engineer. In free time, Berend has been working for years on creative projects under the alias ‘Cult Des Nacht’. After focusing for a long time on graphic design, the decision was made to take on a new challenge: filmmaking.

Louis Pedro

Louis Pedro Simão, born in 2001 in Sneek and raised in Bolsward and Leeuwarden, is one of Friesland’s most promising hip-hop artists.

Inspired by artists like Keizer, Djaga Djaga, Migos, and Tyler, The Creator, Louis began his musical journey alongside childhood friend and producer Dimongu. His style is unmistakably playful, energetic, and technically skilled, driven by the powerful rhythms of trap beats. Yet his sound remains unique, hard to compare to anyone else.

Lucas Boerwinkel

Lucas Boerwinkel is a visual artist, performer, and DIY filmmaker. Influenced by film movements that challenged established norms, Lucas aims to break free from the expectations of society and the art world, prioritizing message over medium and fun over seriousness.

BRRRP is a multidimensional film about fun, exploring its meaning through bold questions paired with an explosive mix of striking visuals and hard-hitting techno. It’s sexy, fast, glamorous, queer, playful – it’s BRRRP!

Byinoar

Jaap van der Velde (also in The Homesick) makes hard-gospel/experimental choirmusic as Byinoar. He uses a vocoder, effects, loopers and a cheap microphone. It sounds like budget Enya on steroids or football hooligans singing folk songs from thefuture.

fantasiafilm

fantasiafilm is an analog photographer who finds comfort in slowing down the world. His photos can be seen as diary entries, sometimes accompanied by writings: daydreams, thoughts, or poetry; in English and Frisian. What he captures most are nature and animals, including humans. Photography and processing his images help him find gratitude, serving as a balm for the loneliness that he (and humans in general) often feel.

Hannah van der Heide

Hannah van der Heide (2000) creates paintings, ceramics, and (sound) installations. Her work focuses on the interconnectedness of all living things. Everything contributes to everything else, from snail to ant, from fungus to oak. She feels at home in the non-hierarchy of flora and fauna and explores empathy for the whole in her creations.

Odalsvegen

Odalsvegen is a project by Jon Metz and Cobi Mulder (of the band Jcoba). During a residency with Popfabryk, they stayed in a cabin along the Odalsvegen in Norway, a road winding through forests, lakes, and mountains. There, new music emerged, inspired by the tranquility and mystery of the surroundings. With acoustic guitars and dreamy melodies, they captured that atmosphere. The recordings form the core of Odalsvegen, which will be performed live for the first time at De Broeikas.

LYS TYGRÉ

LYS TIGRÉ is the two-headed performance art formation of artist/producer christopher404 and theatre-maker/vocalist Alysha Meijboom, partners in life, love, and art. Their performance “Mimicry” explores the entanglement of two worlds that long to merge, despite everything that stands between them. They stand at the intersection of past and present, asking: what do you carry with you into the future? Every performance is unique: theatrical elements are always adapted to the location, ensuring that no experience is ever the same.

Yateesha van Loon

Yateesha van Loon (1996, Drachten) is an interdisciplinary designer exploring the boundaries between body, technology, and imagination.

In Echo Chamber, she invites one participant at a time to sit before a mirror. Using an EEG headband, the participant’s brain activity is recorded for one minute and translated in real time into a digital drawing. A personal trace, an echo of an intimate moment.

Okki Poortvliet

Okki Poortvliet (1999) is a documentary filmmaker, artist, and designer. She grew up in Odoorn, a small village in the north of the Netherlands, and studied design at Minerva Art Academy and philosophy at the University of Groningen. She has developed a distinctive film style where content and visual design go hand in hand. Okki’s films are anthropological, experimental, and place strong emphasis on visual composition. In addition to cinema screenings, her work is often presented as part of installations and exhibitions.

Marouschka Brian

Marouschka Brian (1999), also known as MOES, questions and disrupts the rules of our current system. For her, the urgency is clear: the world is fucked, and things need to change. She works like a modern hunter-gatherer, collecting objects from public spaces and estranging them from their original meaning. These (in)visible objects, striking yet overlooked, are transformed into interventions that unsettle the everyday.

Yvette Bolder

Yvette Bolder is an animator and visual artist based in Zwolle. Her work explores material, perspective, and tender subjects. She prefers working in analog 2D animation and also has a strong passion for illustration, comics, and ceramics.

Djoeke Graswinckel

Djoeke Graswinckel (djoekebaduke), a Northern Dutch artist (born in 2003), is known as a creative all-rounder. From installations and word art to printwork and workshops, her practice spans a wide range of forms. At its core, her work brings together content, play, and design with each result turning out entirely unique.

In her world, everyone is creative, and art and storytelling are part of human DNA. Spreading that sense of confidence is her goal.
