In the center of Leeuwarden, at Bagijnestraat 42A, Marielle Dekens recently opened her ceramics studio in this beautiful historic building. It was once a distillery, and the original distilling barrels now sit among the clay and ceramics.
The studio is open to the public every Saturday. Her collection is diverse, ranging from handmade tableware, bowls, and cups to larger art pieces for the wall. Everything is inspired by nature, movement, and the beauty of imperfection. Each piece is unique and handmade. In addition, she offers courses and workshops for all ages, where you can work with clay yourself.
