Leeuwarden was turned upside down for a moment by the Explore the North Festival, with artists who made the windows shake, brought tears to people’s eyes, and ate deep-fried potato sticks (call them fries or chips, your choice) from a huge table. It was one big celebration, and for anyone who loves poetry or literature, it was a weekend to cherish! With a full tank of inspiration you can easily hop into next Wednesday, but even if you accidentally missed the festival, you’re absolutely welcome to join us. On Wednesday evening, December 3rd, the stage will once again be open to everyone. Three wonderful poets and an equally wonderful musical act will be performing, so come and enjoy an evening of listening at Podium Explore!
The delightful evening is almost here again… And of course we mean the pre-party to Sinterklaas Eve: Words on Wednesday! This coming Wednesday you can once again enjoy beautiful poetry and acoustic songs in Podium Explore. Sit back, relax, and enjoy Gaia, Dien, Mischa, and Doutzen. We’ll end the night with an open mic, where you can also share whatever you’ve been working on. And if your page is still blank but you’d like to change that, you’re still invited. Every first Wednesday of the month, our café becomes the living room for everyone who calls themselves a poet, or wants to (along with all their friends).
Come listen to the most beautiful poems, performances, songs, and stories from our guest artists. Afterwards, the stage opens up again for everyone during the open mic, so if you have a poem that needs to be heard, this is your chance!
