Welcome Reception (with Big Snack Platter Energy)
We’re closing the Stadshart activities with the Snack Platter of all Snack Platters — a platter as long as our café. This meter-long feast is prepared by Zozo, our Croatian chef who also runs Bite me By Zozo. Everyone is welcome to come taste and toast. We especially invite people who haven’t been in the Netherlands or Friesland for long: newcomers, international students, those who moved here for love, new neighbors on the block — it doesn’t matter.
Find a spot at the platter and raise your glass to the world as a home, the cat curled up on the windowsill above, the person next to you, the person next to them, and the person next to them — you get the idea. A delicious counterpoint to polarization and a hopeful start to the festival season. Wolkom!
Afterwards, stay and dance to tunes spun by one of the DJs of the FFataal DJ collective..
About het Stadshart
From November 5 to 23, Podium Explore transforms into het Stadshart.
Every afternoon, a different local scene or community hosts a DIY session under the name Studio Stadshart. One day you might be soldering guitar pedals, the next you’ll learn how to make your own sourdough starter. And in the evenings, you can unwind with live bands, talks, and performances!

Is there food too?
Yes! Pop-up restaurant De Voedselbar serves lunch, dinner, and all-day snacks. So het Stadshart is basically your new favorite café — but one where there’s always something cool happening or to see. It’s also the perfect place to connect with local creative scenes, neighbors, friends, and communities from the region.
