SILENCE is a multidisciplinary and intercultural collaboration between world music and contemporary dance.
In this audiovisual performance, handpan musician Rishiraj Kulkarni from India and dancer Froukje Zijlstra from Friesland explore the meaning of silence. From their different artistic backgrounds, an intuitive dialogue emerges between sound and movement. Melodic and rhythmic percussion interweave with physical expression, creating a sensory experience in which four distinct aspects of silence are explored. SILENCE invites the audience to slow down, to listen, and to pause and consider how silence can create space for connection, balance and reflection.
