Collective Lumen creates sunny post-folk. Upbeat folk interspersed with melancholic and introspective soundscapes. Their immersive performance Songs of the Sun celebrates sunlight with melodic percussion such as the vibraphone, tender guitar parts and ethereal vocals. The band drew inspiration from acts such as Akron/Family, Sufjan Stevens, Sigur Rós and Radiohead.
Songs of the Sun tells the journey from sitting alone in darkness, to standing together in light. A radical choice for light in a world that feels increasingly dark. Travel with us, play, dance, cry, embrace the little child still inside you and know that everything is gonna be alright.

Background information
What began in the summer of 2024 from a shared vision between Paul and Luka to create music that does not avoid pain, but looks straight at it, embraces it and puts it in the light – to play, dance and celebrate in spite of it all, or perhaps because of it. From there Lumen was born: a project reflected not only in the music, but precisely in how it was made.
Lumen consists of Paulus de Wit (vibraphone), Luka Tane-Moller (vocals/guitar), Sian Sterkenburg (drums), Rutger Loots (bass), Anisa Jasmo (guitar/percussion), Sophie van Megchelen (vocals) and Laurens van der Weij (vocals).
