Nicole van den Berg & Explore the North - Gran Canaria, wie neemt ons mee (preview)

Tickets go on sale May 23 via Oerol.nl

In the live radio play Gran Canaria, wie neemt ons mee? we follow Gerard and Marcel, two men who meet at a bus stop just outside the strictly religious village of Grafsloot.

While they wait for a bus that may never come, a tragicomic dialogue unfolds – against their will – about being stuck and getting moving, the illusion of a controllable life and the question of how to do it, being human. Gerard, a man of the old school, drags his past with him in a worn plastic bag. Marcel, a financial consultant living on projections and timelines, is slowly bogged down in the arithmetic of his own existence. What begins as an accidental encounter develops into the smallest possible drama – precisely because of everything that is left unsaid.

This performance is part of the Explore the North Hub. From June 13 to 22, we present work by talents connected to our production house scattered across the island. Explore the North is a production house and festival based at Podium Explore in Leeuwarden.
