A bus stop in the middle of nowhere. Two strangers waiting. A bus that takes forever to arrive.
In the audio play Gran Canaria, wie neemt ons mee? we follow Gerard and Marcel, two men who meet at a bus stop just outside the devout village of Grafsloot. While they wait for a bus that may never arrive, a tragicomic dialogue unfolds—reluctantly—about being stuck versus moving forward, the illusion of a controllable life, and the question of how to actually do this thing called being human.
Gerard, an old-school man, carries his past in a worn plastic bag. Marcel, a financial consultant who lives by forecasts and timelines, finds himself increasingly trapped in the equations of his own existence.
What begins as a chance encounter slowly develops into the smallest possible drama—precisely because of everything left unsaid
