On Sunday, April 12, the 5th edition of Moving Forward will take place. This performance challenges the fourth-year dancers of JDOF to push their artistic and physical boundaries in a brand-new, full-length choreography.
This year, the choreography is created by none other than Juersson Hermanus (previously seen at Explore the North), with assistance from Grace Hardt.
In FOMO (the fear of missing out), eight dancers show how they deal with the fear of missing out:
Fear lives close to desire.
To what you don’t want to miss,
to where you want to belong.
And precisely for that reason, fear can wake you up
and show you what truly matters to you.
In addition to the choreography by the fourth-year dancers, there will also be a new piece by Ana Sofia Mereiles. Together with the dancers from the Young Artist program, she creates a choreography about memories. What stays with us, and how does the body hold on to it? Or does it let it go instead?
Come and admire the dancers of the future — we would love to see you on April 12 at Podium Explore!
