Words that break down barriers
What are the stories of people writing inside and outside the walls of detention? In a landscape created by scenographer Anne Brouwer, voices normally hushed behind thick walls and piles of paper resound. Be touched by words that come straight from the heart – words that had to be written.

About Stichting Blocknotes
Creative writing in prisons: That’s what Blocknotes does.
Writers from ‘inside’ collaborate with established writers from ‘outside’ on their own literary work. The goal? Empowering and working on talent. In the meantime, we make sure that the literary field in the Netherlands is filled with other voices.
