New Year’s Eve comedy special on steroids
Funny Bergman has decided to tell the truth, because truth often consists of all sides at once.
Ik ben Funny (I am Funny) is a fast-paced, language-driven solo performance, a kind of New Year’s Eve special on steroids, in which themes like gender, politics, and sexuality are hurled into the room at breakneck speed.
Funny Bergman dissects life, disrupts expectations, and creates discomfort—until it becomes clear that the greatest unease might just lie within F. Bergman themselves. As a reincarnation of the medieval jester, Funny poses the question: who are you when you embrace your darker side? Who are you, really?
So join Funny at Podium Explore on Saturday night, November 22nd, for a properly unhinged start to the year’s end.
“Roos, performing as Funny, delivers a kind of hyperactive punk cabaret that first unsettles you—maybe even annoys you—but ultimately wins you over with her candid and original performance. (…) Her show ultimately explores the line between self-love and self-loathing. When does ‘just a joke’ stop being just a joke?”— de Volkskrant ★★★★★
