Beats! Brabant! Roaring!
From their plastic garden chair, Eindhoven’s Brabohop collective Frino explores the paving-stone philosophy of life. Say what? Yep, it’s musical theatre, Brabant hip-hop, and a pub story all rolled into one. And all of it in the language of the colorful birds they love so much. Like a former PSV player who interned with Jackie Chan, Betsy the marble cat, and a bodybuilder who can’t touch his lower back without thinking of the Soviet Union.
With these characters, Frino has already triumphed at festivals like De Parade, Theaterfestival Boulevard, and Lowlands — and now they’re closing out our festival weekend at Podium Explore. And if you’re not from the South and afraid you won’t understand a thing, don’t worry:
