Stadshart: AudioSport Records, 5 jaar!

Stadshart Free

AudioSport Records, the record label of Leeuwarden enigma Theo van der Veer, is celebrating its fifth anniversary. That calls for a party!

And what better way than a proper showcase festival in ‘t Stadshart during Explore the North, where various artists from Theo’s roster will perform live.

Theo signs only the coolest and most authentic indie acts. Together, they release music filled with obvious love, complete with beautiful vinyl sleeves or on cassette. These are exactly the acts you’ll probably be bragging about at underground parties in a few years. (“Oh, that’s great — but I already knew them; I saw them at ‘t Stadshart! For free.”)

Tip: If you want to get a sneak listen and decide which limited releases you absolutely need to grab, check out the artists page on AudioSport Records.

Ellis Mane

Ellis Mane is a singer-songwriter originally from Ghent, who started an indie pop project in her attic using an electric guitar and a loop station. After numerous performances, singles, and a debut album, her sound has evolved into indie rock with a raw edge, in the spirit of artists like Courtney Barnett, Eels, and Patti Smith.

Gezamenlijk Douchen

Gezamenlijk Douchen from Amsterdam is a project by two childhood friends who have been making music together for over ten years. On their debut album ‘korfball’, they put their own spin on the emo genre. Sometimes dreamy and folky, sometimes raw and hard-hitting — with honest and personal lyrics about growing up and letting go.

Omam Dawn

Omam Dawn is a singer-songwriter from the south coast of the United Kingdom. Her dreamy songs take you to fields, fishermen, dolphins, and the shadowy corners of unrequited love. The sea and her youthful bond with animals are at the heart of her inspiration. Her debut album, Near From Goose Town, was self-released on October 17 and distributed in the Netherlands by AudioSport Records.

About the Stadshart
From November 5 to 23, Podium Explore transforms into the Stadshart. Every afternoon, a different local scene or community hosts a DIY session under the name Studio Stadshart. One day you can solder guitar pedals, the next you’ll learn how to make your own sourdough starter. And in the evening, unwind with bands, talks, and performances!

*All Stadshart programs are free to attend, with the exception of Dood Paard – 3 x from Moscow + 🖤.

Is there food?
Yes. Pop-up restaurant De Voedselbar serves lunch, dinner, and all-day snacks. The Stadshart is basically your favorite café, just one where there’s always something cool to do or see. It’s also the perfect place to connect with creative scenes, neighbors, friends, and communities from the region. Open daily from 12:00 to 00:00!
