Alexander Moto is a storyteller with disarming honesty. Dreamy yet purposeful, his words dance through the cosmos. The Frisian rapper and keyboardist explores matters of the soul through lyrical, reflective hip-hop that doesn’t hold anything back.
His live show ranges from raw boom bap to intimate, theatrical songs—performed in both Dutch and Frisian. From his base in Leeuwarden, he has already released the album Radiostilte op Iselmar (2020), several EPs, and the mixtape rups(2024). In 2025, Moto continues to fuel the fire with multiple projects, a second album on the way, and a spot in the heart of the Oerol Festival!

Alexander Moto (Thom Boonstra) is a rapper, musician, writer, photographer, and creative in the broadest sense of the word. Transparency and authenticity are central to his work. He is a sponge, always attuned to his surroundings. Naturally curious and broadly interested, he never gets bored—there’s always something to invent or discover. The flip side of this is constantly outrunning himself.
