Is Easter early this year or not? One thing’s for sure — with this announcement, we’ve got some surprise eggs for you to crack open already.
These artists are ready to welcome you during our festival weekend in Leeuwarden:
Saartje van Camp – long-time musical partner of Spinvis – brings her show based on her recently released debut album In De Naam Van to Explore the North. American harpist Mary Lattimore captures events, stories, and places in expansive soundscapes – the perfect music to experience in the setting of a beautiful church. Performance collective URLAND, together with master storyteller Thomas Dudkiewicz, presents a preview of a new performance titled THIS IS HOW: a multi-dimensional experience through headphones. De Toegift delivers melancholic music with poetic lyrics – this time even in Greek! Finally, Mensen Zeggen Dingen returns with a full program titled NOT A PROTEST, AN ACT OF LOVE. Poets, writers, and spoken word artists share stories about how something small can keep the fire burning. About lone wolves who offer hope.
Just last week, we also announced that Joost Oomen and De Poezieboys will be joining the festival with their brand-new performance GEESTEN.
In the meantime, the Very Early Bird Tickets are now on sale! These tickets are available until June 1, so grab your chance to attend Explore the North Festival 2025 at a super low price.
