Nicole van den Berg (1988) lives, works, and walks (with her Stabyhoun Yuko) in Leeuwarden. She enjoys writing about all the ways people try to make the best of things. In 2021, she published Het Losloopveld, a self-illustrated collection of short and even shorter stories. Over the past few years, she has regularly created new work for literary projects at the invitation of organizations such as Leeuwarden UNESCO City of Literature, Explore the North, and deBuren, including De Verwonderkamer, Uitgesteld Geluk, and #NieuweStukken. Her work has also appeared in publications such as NRC Handelsblad, Leeuwarder Courant, De Optimist, and De Moanne.
