Woorden op Woensdag is the new open poetry art stage in Leeuwarden!
Once upon a time, there was a city where all the poets lived on their own island, until Annemarie ‘The Connector’ Lindeboom built the bridges between them: together with Liselot Jaspers Foks, she founded Dichter Bij Leeuwarden. From that moment on, the poets gathered every first Wednesday of the month. They discussed their latest writings, invited other speakers and writers, and together they secured one opportunity after another.
Now that Annemarie has shifted her focus to other projects, both the poets and the WoW-sessions are ready for a fresh start. We’ve moved to Podium Explore, and from now on, every first Wednesday of the month, we celebrate the spoken word community of Leeuwarden once again!
From 19:30 to 21:30, the café at Podium Explore will be the living room welcome for anyone who calls themselves a poet or wants to (and all their friends). So come by, be surprised, or take a chance and step onto the stage yourself!
