Iris Dicke (Leeuwarden, 2005) took five years of writing classes with Explore the North’s Jonge Schrijvers group and Meeuw Jonge Theatermakers. From there on, she wrote scripts for plays such as Toen Rijst Nog Jong Was (2021), Het Arrivacomplot (2022), and De Kapsalon (2023). Until February 2023, Iris took classes at Meeuw’s youth theaterschool, and she played in numerous productions, including Schreeuwen in een Weiland as part of the triennial Arcadia cultural program. She also participated in Dichter Bij Leeuwarden’s DBLab and the BROEI and Tweespraak development programs. The latter delivered her premier at OEROL with the show, Gepiekt op de middelbare school (collab with Hedzer Seffinga and Julian Rinsma). Since September 2023, Iris has been attending drama school in Arnhem.
