On Friday, April 24, it’s time for Circle Session 058 X 038 at Podium Explore!
On Friday, April 24th, Podium Explore will be transformed into a living room filled with spoken word during the Circle Session. Emerging spoken word artists from Poetry Circle Zwolle will be visiting, joining forces with the talents of Poetry Circle Leeuwarden to share their newest work. We will close the evening with an open mic, where everyone (yes, you too!) can grab the microphone. Get ready for everything bubbling up within the newest generation of the spoken word scene: sharp metaphors, activist statements, and a whole lot of love.
Poetry Circle is the national platform for spoken word, with circles in eight different cities. Each circle has weekly sessions in their own city, and during a Circle Session, participants from two different circles come together. These evenings traditionally end with an open mic, where every talent is welcome. Circle Sessions help emerging spoken word artists gain stage experience and offer the chance to meet other artists. The ideal place to start building a network!
On Friday, April 24, the Circle from Zwolle will be visiting, and representing Leeuwarden you’ll see our own Ace, Aïsha, Aline, Brigitte, Cis, Daria, Emily, Esmee, Froukje, Gaia, Julian, Lotte, Nashara, and Zee.
