What do you read about women? Or by women? With women?
During this edition of About Women (with women m/x/v), we’ll be sharing book tips with each other! Because nothing is more fun than hearing enthusiastic stories about why we absolutely must read this book about women’s rights, that book about Lady Gaga, or another one about everything we’re not taught about menstruation. And besides: right before International Women’s Day and Boekenweek (Dutch Book Week), it certainly can’t hurt to make time for books about, by, and with women!
We already have a few book speakers lined up who will surprise you with important, moving, but also hilarious topics—but there’s definitely room for you as well! So feel free to bring a book you’d like to talk about. Not a storyteller but a reader? Totally fine! You can also just come and listen, and afterwards have a drink, browse, chat, or… simply enjoy reading. dbieb will provide a big stack of reading material!
