Every first Wednesday of the month, the café of Podium Explore becomes the living room for everyone who calls themselves a poet, or wants to (and all their friends). Take a seat, grab a cup of tea, and let yourself be surprised! On this stage, writers with years of experience stand side by side with writers who are performing for the very first time. And by “writers,” we mean poets, musicians, columnists, rappers, novelists, mime artists, or other performers who fit on our 6 square meters of stage. Woorden op Woensdag is mainly an experimental stage, where things are also allowed to fail.
We always close with an open mic, where anyone who feels like it can simply walk up onto the stage. By now, a cozy and attentive audience is guaranteed, just like good tea (or wine), glowing candles, and the most diverse range of poems.
So come by, be surprised, or be bold and take the stage yourself!
