Within Oproer, you get to experience new work by emerging theater talents.
Oproer advocates for more opportunities for emerging makers, seeking performance spaces and audiences. It is a nationwide initiative that supports these up-and-coming theater makers with production, marketing, and audience engagement, with a focus on building a sustainable career.
Explore the North, together with Grand Theatre, from Northern Netherlands, is connected to the Oproer network. Through Explore the North and Grand Theatre, the collective Drie Dagen Fris, consisting of Marieke Ornelis, Mees van Rijswijk, and Johannes Lievens, is part of this network.
More information
Oproer is a collaboration of eight production houses in the Netherlands: Likeminds, Podium Bloos, Werkplaats Walhalla, Karavaan, VIA ZUID, Theater de Generator, De Nieuwe Oost, and Station Noord. Together, these organizations provide a platform for developing new productions and enable the exchange of these productions across the Netherlands. By working together, they create opportunities for new talent to grow and increase their visibility.
Oproer is made possible by the VriendenLoterij Fund, thanks to an additional donation from the VriendenLoterij.
