For three weekends, we hosted an open house in the Stadshart for residents, (festival) visitors, and anyone in need of a dose of hope in confusing times. We will announce the new dates for Stadshart 2026 as soon as they are known.
Studio for word, deed & disco
In the Stadshart you’ll find linguistic, festive, cultural and musical surprises: a story someone shares out loud for the first time, a dish that evokes a sense of home in our pop-up restaurant, and much more. Most of the programme is free to attend. And even when nothing is scheduled, you’re warmly welcome to drop in for a drink, a good conversation, some relaxed reading or even a nap. The Stadshart programme is created in collaboration with the many cultural and literary initiatives that Leeuwarden has to offer. Wander in, discover new stories, meet new friends (young and old), and above all: hold on tight to your little wooden shoe of hope, so it can keep you warm for a long time to come.
During the festival weekend, the Stadshart is the place to meet fellow festival visitors and enjoy something to eat.
