Alexander Moto is a storyteller and rapper with disarming honesty. In recent years, an entire universe has been conjured from his mind where everything can coexist: from hushed, cabaret-tinged “kleinkunst hip-hop” at the piano to bouncing jump-along tracks with three billion doses of swag—in Dutch, Frisian, or something in between. That Moto mind is real and honest—so anything goes.
From Leeuwarden he released the album Radiostilte op Iselmar (2020), the Frisian-language EP drakeënerzjy, and the mixtape rups (2024)—to success both in the region (this year he won, among other things, the Bernlefpriis) and beyond.
