A solo about control: longing for it, resisting it, losing it.

In the performance KINK, Nik Rajšek explores control on stage as both a driving force and a point of collapse. The body twists, withdraws, and asserts itself in a continuous tension between dominance and surrender. Movement and music alternate and shape one another in an ever-shifting dialogue. Being watched becomes both a threat and a thrill — a response to the discomfort of exposure and the secret pleasure of wanting more.

KINK invites the audience into a provocative power dynamic in which control is questioned, shared, and constantly redefined.

About the maker
Nik Rajšek (1993, Slovenia) began his dance training in 2007 at the Art Gymnasium for Contemporary Dance in Ljubljana. In 2011, he continued his studies at the Amsterdam University of the Arts – Modern Theatre Dance, graduating in 2015. During his studies, he interned with Club Guy & Roni in Groningen as part of the Poetic Disasters Club. Since 2015, Nik has been collaborating with Ann Van den Broek in her company WArd/waRD.

In 2025, Nik began a three-year development trajectory with Station Noord as one of its new artists, embarking on a new creative path focused on exploring his own artistic voice and redefining what dance means to him.
