Rediscover your attention span

Immen – the stage name of “Frisian om utens” Clasine Haringsma – makes warm, introspective music about life-up-to-now. That life began in the Frisian countryside, daydreaming in the grass, in the company of the animals in the yard. Those memories play an important role on her debut album Nimmen, on which she creates a beautiful soundscape in Frisian and English. It’s one of those records that took its time, made “with life” you might say, and is best listened to as a whole (something rare these days).

Even live, Immen proves that it pays to let art stew slowly, without any fuss and as genuine and real as possible. A relief in a time bursting at the seams with reels, fast scoring, hit-after-hit productions and one-liners. Listen to Immen’s disarming vocals against the backdrop of old downtown Leeuwarden and rediscover your attention span. You need it more than you think.
