A tall glass of ice-cold lemonade after a long drought.
Sorvina – raised in a suburb of New York and now based in Berlin – makes alternative hip-hop infused with soul, jazz, and poetic spoken word. On her debut EP Oh, the places you’ll go, she raps about everything that occupies her mind: from everyday doubts to grand dreams. And she does it in such an authentic, vibrant way that you can’t help but sit up a little straighter. Refreshed, lighter, and more hopeful.
In an interview, she was asked what advice she would give to the world. Her answer: “follow your dreams and drink more lemonade.” That’s exactly what her performances feel like: a cold glass of sweet lemonade that makes you realize just how thirsty you were. With a sharp eye for the human experience, Sorvina builds something on stage that few artists manage to achieve: a genuine sense of camaraderie and connection.
“Beneath the soothing energy of Sorvina’s tone lies an artist whose passion for rap, hip-hop, and poetry transcends mere performance; it’s an invitation to immerse oneself in the boundless joy she brings to the stage.”
