How\u2019d you come up with that? Yeah, well.\u00a0<\/strong>
Yeah?! You just have to make it up!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

De Poezieboys hear that phrase so often when it comes to a work of art or a poem: you just have to make it up! But if we artists come up with all that, how do we do it? How do we get inspiration? And do we “come up with it” ourselves or does something or someone else do it for us?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Je moet het maar bedenken, h\u00e8?!<\/em>, the Poezieboys and Explore the North give a glimpse into the wonderful rituals of writers and other artists to get inspiration. Because there are countless possibilities: exhausting yourself completely, not sleeping for days, listening to the roar of a vacuum cleaner, opening up to the cosmos, contacting martians, or just drinking a cup of coffee and staring out the window. They go through all of that to help you do it too: just come up with it, right?!<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this otherworldly, musical and comical performance, the Poezieboys try to figure out what inspiration is and how to capture it. They wonder if, in today’s society where control is paramount, there is still room for something as slippery and elusive as inspiration.
