Absolutely not! Kruidkoek and Joost Oomen throw in a bucket of punk jazz, a bucket of absurdism, and a bucket of childlike overconfidence\u2014and voil\u00e0, suddenly you find yourself partying at a poet\u2019s show. Think Jules Deelder, think Anthony Szmierek, think Villa Achterwerk with an extra splash of something indescribable. Bananas are fired around, a pudding gets attacked with a saw, and you\u2019ll find yourself submerged in this fruity sludge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Joost Oomen (1990) is the most notorious performance poet in the Netherlands and has performed everywhere from Cape Town to Schiermonnikoog, and from Zwarte Cross to Into the Great Wide Open. Kruidkoek, as a hyperactive punk jazz formation, has torn apart many a stage and, along the way, proved that complex conservatory music&nbsp;<em>can<\/em>&nbsp;in fact be something you can get drunk to. Don\u2019t believe it? Come see for yourself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since 2019, Kruidkoek and Joost Oomen have been force-feeding poetry and jazz down the throats of Dutch audiences as if it were pure delight. And strangely enough, nobody complains.
