Everything collides. Everything word art.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During\u00a0<em>Schaafsessies<\/em>, we bring worlds together and let them fuse. Hardcore producers meet Frisian poets and choirs. Rappers jam with a classical pianist. A specially formed seven-piece metal band joins forces with Frisian writers. The result? Clashes, sparks, poetry, and pure energy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On\u00a0October 11, experience all three editions in one explosive show. Move from the immersive sounds of\u00a0Madelief Huisman\u00a0and\u00a0Wiebe Kaspers\u00a0to the raw punchlines of\u00a0KUO\u00a0and\u00a0Poelier\u00a0as MC. Feel the pounding beats of\u00a0Sven B,\u00a0Dave The Enforcer, and\u00a0MESSIAH\u00a0in your chest, while Frisian word artists\u00a0Douwe Dijkstra,\u00a0Jaimy Hindriks, and\u00a0Lil Pier\u00a0plant their words straight into your mind and they\u2019ll still be echoing the next day. And see the metal band with Frisian poets come to life on the big screen, as live recordings from the sessions unfold right before your eyes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Exhibition in the caf\u00e9<\/strong><br>During\u00a0<em>Schaafsessies<\/em>, you can also visit the caf\u00e9 to see the photo exhibition\u00a0<em>Hardcore Vibes<\/em>, a collaboration between\u00a0Popfabryk,\u00a0Chemistry Publishing, and photographer\u00a0Bouwe Brouwer.<br>The series features 66 striking images from the Frisian hardcore and gabber scene, shot during three editions of the Play Festival. Raw, honest, and full of energy, Bouwe captures how this subculture has been deeply rooted in the North since the 1990s.
