The sound of change<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Resistance can be in small things. In a word, a rhythm, a memory that is passed on; soft accusations that come crashing in. RADIO VIT\u00d3, the new performance by M Alberto, is both such an act of resistance and, at the same time, an invitation: do you dare to imagine a radically different world?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

M Alberto – born on Cura\u00e7ao, living in the Netherlands – is a theater-maker, musician-poet and artist-researcher. A sharp critique of colonial structures resonates in all their work, as does the will to dismantle them. The tools M deploys in the process: craftsmanship (in many different disciplines!) and radical vulnerability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In RADIO VIT\u00d3, M blends poetry and improvisation to create a musical essay-poem about resistance and the representation of radical change. Together with an international ensemble, they honor figures from the Caribbean canon as well as unknown voices from the global history of resistance.
