Dub Painting

With unerring wave-punk and buoyant dub, Tom Ogilvie, Marnix Wilmink and Anna Fleuri Wolters – together Housepainters – paint a joyful message across the club’s grey walls. Drawing on seventies disco, squealing eighties punk cassettes and a tin of gloom, they mix an intriguing musical palette that is dark and danceable at once. Up at the top of the ladder, Housepainters balance between rainbows and dystopias. Their sunny synthpop took shape in a cramped Amsterdam home studio during the global pandemic. Their ambitions soon reached far beyond the ring road, and they have since given many a venue a funky dab of pink here and there. Even a splash of German suits them. The trio prove themselves an energetic, upbeat live act. Jetzt geht’s los with Housepainters!
